I have been a plastic surgeon since 2004. After studying medicine at the UvA, I specialized in plastic surgery. During my training I did internships at home and abroad.
After my training I started working at the Spaarne Hospital, now the Spaarne Gasthuis with locations in Hoofddorp, Haarlem Zuid and Noord. Here I was involved in reconstructive surgery, trauma, hand and general plastic surgery.

Fibroma removal
After doing a lot of research, I ended up choosing Klinik Het Bolwerk. I have quite a few moles on my face that I wanted to have removed. For me, it’s very important that this is done as beautifully as possible, cosmetically speaking. The procedure was done a little over two weeks ago, and I have to say that I am very satisfied with the size of the scars. I can see that the doctor used the smallest possible method to remove my moles. I really appreciate this, because it will help the result look as good as possible. Next month, I will have the remaining moles removed, as I am very happy with the current progress. In addition, I find the doctor very trustworthy, friendly, and social. All bonus points!

For the second time in my life, I had an eyelid correction done and I am very satisfied and happy. The procedure was completely painless and Dr. Jairath kept chatting pleasantly so I never had time to feel nervous. The recovery also went quickly and I feel reborn and ten years younger!

Piercing holes removed around my mouth. Mr Jairath is friendly, explains things clearly and takes his time. I was very nervous and he was very patient with me and not rushed, which you often experience in other clinics where it feels a bit like an assembly line. Like other procedures, eyelid surgery carries a small number of potential risks. We perform the treatment carefully to avoid complications as much as possible.
Temporary swelling and bruising sometimes occur, but usually disappear within a week. Permanent scars or marks are exceptional. With careful aftercare, the chance of side effects is minimal.
We now have years of experience with eyelid surgery. We are happy to explain how we minimize risks and maximize recovery. Trust that you are in good hands with us for a natural and beautiful result.
Cosmetic eyelid surgery is usually not covered by basic insurance. Some supplemental packages do offer coverage.
If there is a medical necessity, such as poor vision due to overhanging eyelids, there is a chance of reimbursement. Contact your insurer for more information.

For the first few days after surgery, it is wise to take it easy because of some swelling and bruising around the eyes. This is normal and decreases gradually.
About a week after the procedure, the sutures are removed. Then you are back on your feet, although it will take some time for the final results to show.
Usually within 2-3 weeks you will see most of the final improvement. We regularly see clients recover quickly.
