After the procedure, you can leave the clinic immediately. After one week the stitches will be removed. During a follow-up consultation, you will receive advice on optimal aftercare to minimize scarring.

The procedure, performed in our clinic under local anesthesia, takes only 30 minutes. We aim for a recovery with as little discomfort as possible, where rest and careful aftercare are essential for rapid healing and reducing swelling or bruising. After a week, the stitches are removed and scar care advice follows to ensure that your skin heals as beautifully as possible.

Removal of sebaceous cysts

A sebaceous cyst can become inflamed if not removed in time, resulting in a less attractive scar. To prevent this, we recommend preventive removal of cysts. During the intake interview you will discuss the options with our doctor David Jairath. Together we choose the method that is the least invasive to remove the cyst.

We also explain the implications so you can make an informed decision. If necessary, we can view the cyst via photo or video call. We then perform the 30-minute outpatient procedure under local anesthesia. Afterwards, some swelling and blueness is possible. We recommend taking a few quiet days and avoiding sports to allow healing to take place. After a week, we remove the stitches and the treatment is complete. After this, the scar will mature. This takes some time.

I am Drs. David Jairath, plastic surgeon. After studying Medicine, I completed my specialization as a plastic surgeon at the University of Amsterdam. During this training I did internships at home and abroad.

During my career, I have worked in both hospitals and private clinics. My background includes both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery, ranging from breast reconstruction to general plastic surgery procedures.

I now have more than 15 years of experience in removing skin abnormalities. I now use my broad knowledge at Kliniek het Bolwerk. Here I offer my services for cosmetic removal of, for example, birthmarks, cysts and naevi.

Thanks to my extensive background, I know how to perform each procedure carefully and with an eye for optimal results. The client is central to this.

Ik heb een heldere uitleg gehad van de heer David Jairath tijdens mijn intake gesprek over een ooglidcorrectie. Heldere uitleg over wat er gaat gebeuren tijdens de ingreep en nazorg na de ingreep. Ik ben tevreden.

Ik ben voor de 2e keer geholpen aan een ooglidcorrectie door dr. Jairath de 1e keer was 17 jaar geleden .
Nu 3 weken geleden weer en ben weer heel blij met het resultaat. Het ziet er nu weer een stuk frisser uit. Hij is een zeer vriendelijke en kundige chirurg en je voelt je erg op je gemak bij de intake en behandeling.

Eind december een boven-ooglidcorrectie laten uitvoeren.
De intake en behandeling uitermate deskundig en het resultaat is geweldig.
