I am David Jairath, working as a plastic surgeon since 2004. I completed my studies at the University of Amsterdam, where I also did my plastic surgery specialization. During my studies I did internships at home and abroad.
After my studies, I started working at the Spaarne Gasthuis, then at the Spaarne Hospital. There I was involved in reconstructive surgery, (plastic) trauma, hand surgery and general plastic surgery.
Then I further specialized in cosmetic surgery at a private clinic (Plastisch Cosmetisch Centrum Spaarne).

Like other cosmetic procedures, eyelid surgery carries a small risk. Our specialist performs each surgery carefully to avoid complications.
Temporary symptoms such as swelling or bruising may occur during the recovery process, but usually disappear quickly. Permanent scars or residual symptoms almost never occur.

Cosmetic eyelid surgery is usually not covered by basic insurance. It is possible that some supplementary insurances do reimburse them (in part).
If there is a medical indication, this may lead to (partial) reimbursement. Please contact your health insurance company for this.
