Since 2009, we have proudly used Zorgkaart Nederland to collect and share client experiences. These reviews have always been valuable to us because they highlight what we do well, show where we can improve, and help build trust with new clients.
However, as of October 2025, we have decided to stop actively collecting reviews through Zorgkaart Nederland.
Rising costs for smaller clinics
What was once an accessible platform has become increasingly expensive in recent years. For our clinic, this would mean paying around fifty euros per treatment to continue collecting reviews through Zorgkaart Nederland. We do not wish to pass these costs on to our clients, as that would affect the accessibility of our care.
Policy changes at Zorgkaart Nederland
From September 15, 2025, unverified reviews will no longer be accepted, and any reviews older than four years will be removed. Only verified reviews will remain visible. Although this change is intended to increase reliability, it also removes the low-barrier nature that made the platform so valuable for many years.
Growing concerns about reliability
The reliability of the platform itself has been under pressure for some time. There has been growing criticism regarding how reviews are collected. Several investigations have shown that reviews can be influenced by external parties.
In addition, medical organizations such as the Federatie Medisch Specialisten and KNMG have withdrawn from the platform’s advisory board. They have raised concerns about the verifiability of reviews and their potential impact on healthcare providers. These developments also influenced our decision to discontinue our participation.
Our commitment to quality and simplicity
Our mission has always been to provide clients with honest and transparent information about our care. Feedback plays a key role in maintaining and improving quality. That is why we are transitioning to a review system that is more reliable and easier to manage.
This allows us to collect and present feedback in a transparent way that aligns with our values, without unnecessary costs.
What this means for clients
For clients, very little will change. All existing Zorgkaart reviews will remain visible on our website. In the future, we will invite clients directly to share their experiences with us. Trustpilot will remain an important channel for new reviews. Clients can also choose to share their feedback through Google Reviews, just as they might with other businesses and service providers.
We believe it is important that clients can decide for themselves how visible they want to be. On Google Reviews, the name displayed is automatically the one linked to the user’s Google account. This name cannot be changed for a single review. Clients who prefer not to use their full name can change it in their Google profile beforehand, for example to an initial or a pseudonym.
On Trustpilot, the process is simpler. Clients can choose what name is displayed when posting a review. This lowers the barrier for those who prefer to remain anonymous or value their privacy. In our invitations, we explain this clearly so clients can choose the option that feels most comfortable.
This way, we maintain the strength of authentic client feedback while giving our clients the freedom to choose how they share their experience.
