I am David Jairath, plastic surgeon since 2004, and I completed my studies in Medicine and specialization as a plastic surgeon at the University of Amsterdam. During my training, I gained valuable experience at several prestigious hospitals, including the Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Hospital, where I specialized in breast reconstructions.
I also did a burns internship at the Rode Kruis Hospital in Beverwijk, where I was involved in the initial care and recovery of the victims of the Volendam cafe burn disaster. These are experiences that greatly shaped my approach as a plastic surgeon.
After my training, I worked at the Spaarne Gasthuis for over 19 years, specializing in reconstructive surgery and plastic-surgical trauma. In my private practice, I further specialized in cosmetic treatments, with an eye for detail and aesthetics.

Eyelid surgery
From the very first intake appointment, the treatment was perfect. Dr. Jairath is a very friendly and skilled doctor who works with great precision, resulting in a beautiful outcome! Fibroma removal
After doing a lot of research, I ended up choosing Klinik Het Bolwerk. I have quite a few moles on my face that I wanted to have removed. For me, it’s very important that this is done as beautifully as possible, cosmetically speaking. The procedure was done a little over two weeks ago, and I have to say that I am very satisfied with the size of the scars. I can see that the doctor used the smallest possible method to remove my moles. I really appreciate this, because it will help the result look as good as possible. Next month, I will have the remaining moles removed, as I am very happy with the current progress. In addition, I find the doctor very trustworthy, friendly, and social. All bonus points!

Eyelid surgery
For the second time in my life, I had an eyelid correction done and I am very satisfied and happy. The procedure was completely painless and Dr. Jairath kept chatting pleasantly so I never had time to feel nervous. The recovery also went quickly and I feel reborn and ten years younger!

Piercing holes removed around my mouth. Mr Jairath is friendly, explains things clearly and takes his time. I was very nervous and he was very patient with me and not rushed, which you often experience in other clinics where it feels a bit like an assembly line. I am extremely happy with the result, and this is not even the final result yet!

Kliniek het Bolwerk is the continuation of my successful practice, the Plastic Cosmetic Center Spaarne, formerly located at Händellaan 2a in Heemstede. When our lease was not renewed in April 2023, I began my search for a new practice space. After visiting several locations, I found the perfect place, which immediately felt right. Although much remodeling was required, I am proud that we have established a new location, name and concept.
