I have been working as a plastic surgeon for more than fifteen years. After studying medicine at the University of Amsterdam, I specialised in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Within this field I have always looked for the right balance between function and aesthetics.
During my training I gained experience in various hospitals, both in the Netherlands and abroad. This broad background gave me valuable insight into various techniques and treatment methods. I am extremely satisfied with my eyelid surgery by David Jairath. Because I had already had eyelid surgery in the past, I had a good idea of what to expect. That is exactly why this experience stood out as so positive.
David Jairath is a very skilled and professional surgeon, but what really sets him apart for me is how approachable and involved he is. He takes plenty of time to explain everything clearly, listens carefully to your questions and is also easy to reach after the procedure. That gave me a lot of confidence and a sense of safety throughout the whole process.
The aftercare is also excellent. You notice that you as a patient really come first and that there is genuine attention to a good recovery. Questions are answered quickly and kindly, which is very reassuring.
I can therefore wholeheartedly recommend David Jairath to anyone considering eyelid surgery. A skilled surgeon with a pleasant, personal approach and excellent aftercare. I am very happy with my choice and the lovely result.

I am so happy with the result of my treatment with Dr Jairath. I came for a lip correction because of scar tissue, and from the first consultation I immediately had a very pleasant and trusting feeling.
Dr Jairath is a true craftsman through and through. His eye for detail, precision and professionalism immediately give you the confidence that you are in the best hands. He takes all the time you need, listens carefully to your wishes and explains everything clearly and calmly. His assistant also deserves a big compliment. She is extremely friendly, involved and caring and puts you completely at ease from the very first moment.
The procedure was carried out very skilfully and the result already looks better than I had dared to hope. The aftercare is also excellent. I went to Mr Jairath for eyelid surgery and I am extremely satisfied with the whole process.
From the first consultation through to the operation and the aftercare, everything felt professional, clear and trustworthy. Mr Jairath is a very skilled doctor with a great deal of knowledge and experience. He knows exactly what he is talking about, puts you at ease and gives honest, good advice.
As far as I am concerned, the procedure and guidance were absolutely worth 5 stars. I am very happy with the result of the correction, my complaints have gone and I feel a lot better for it.

Eyelid surgery
During the intake consultation with Mr David Jairath I already had a good feeling about it. He explained clearly what the procedure involved. After the intake I also received additional information by email. The procedure itself was very relaxed. He explained everything step by step during the procedure. Everything is done under local anaesthetic. We had a really nice conversation during the procedure and before you knew it the treatment was over. I received clear information on what to do after the procedure. After a week the stitches were removed. I am very satisfied with the final result.

Eyelid surgery is suitable for people who are bothered by drooping eyelids, eye bags or a tired appearance. This can be cosmetically bothersome, but can also cause functional complaints such as limited vision or headaches. During a personal consultation we look at whether the treatment makes sense in your situation.
The treatment is often chosen for cosmetic reasons, for example to look fresher. But if drooping eyelids obstruct your vision, there may be a medical indication. In that case reimbursement from basic health insurance is sometimes possible. We discuss this during the consultation.
The procedure itself takes on average between 45 and 60 minutes. Because the treatment takes place under local anaesthetic, you can go home straight afterwards.
Thanks to the local anaesthetic you feel virtually no pain during the procedure. Afterwards you may have a bruised or tight feeling, but this is easily relieved with paracetamol and rest. Most clients find the recovery manageable.
